Grow Clinical Practice Without Carrying a Caseload

Volunteers of America Eastern Washington & Northern Idaho is continuing to expand our Behavioral Health Services— and we are hiring two Clinical Supervisors to support that growth.

This role is designed for experienced, fully licensed clinicians who are ready to focus on clinical supervision, mentorship, and strengthening practice across programs—not managing a caseload.

At VOA, services are delivered where people are—through shelters, medical respite, supported housing, and other community-based programs. This position plays a key role in supporting the teams doing that work every day.

What This Role Is Designed to Do

This is a clinical leadership role centered on:

  • Providing clinical supervision for licensure and professional development
  • Strengthening clinical skills and confidence across teams
  • Supporting consistent, trauma-informed, and person-centered care
  • Offering consultation on complex and high-acuity situations
  • This role does not carry a routine caseload.

Where You’ll Focus Your Time

  • Provide clinical supervision to clinicians, behavioral health staff, and interns
  • Offer consultation and guidance on complex participant situations and crisis response
  • Review clinical documentation and support staff in strengthening quality and compliance
  • Partner with program leadership to support consistent clinical practices across programs
  • Deliver practical, relevant training across multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of VOA’s Integrated Behavioral Healthcare model

What You Bring

  • Active, unrestricted Washington State license (LICSW or LMHC)
  • Minimum of two years as a fully licensed clinician
  • Experience working with individuals impacted by mental health, substance use, and housing instability
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to support high-acuity situations
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or supervising staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams

Work Environment

This role operates across shelters, housing programs, medical respite, and community-based settings. You’ll support teams working directly with individuals experiencing behavioral health crises, active substance use, and complex life circumstances.

Total Rewards That Support You

  • 8 paid holidays plus up to 5 floating holidays
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance (approx. $12,000–$15,000 annual value)
  • Employer-paid life insurance and long-term disability (approx. $1,500–$2,500 annual value)
  • Generous PTO, including sick leave and vacation
  • 403(b) retirement plan
  • PSLF-eligible employer
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Free electric vehicle charging at our main location

Why This Role Stands Out

This is an opportunity to step into a role where your impact is measured by the strength of the team around you.

You’ll help build clinical capacity across programs, support staff doing meaningful and complex work, and contribute to a growing behavioral health model—without the demands of a productivity-driven caseload.

 Full-Time | $85,000 – $92,000 annually

The typical starting salary for this position is $86,000–$87,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
