Overview
Medasource is partnering with a large regional healthcare organization seeking experienced Behavioral Health Crisis Clinicians to support Emergency Department behavioral health operations within a fast-paced acute care environment.
This role works closely with ED providers, nursing staff, and care teams to support patients presenting with psychiatric, emotional, and behavioral health concerns requiring immediate assessment and intervention.
Responsibilities
- Conduct behavioral health and psychiatric crisis assessments for patients presenting in the Emergency Department
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to support patient disposition planning and ongoing care coordination
- Assist with identifying appropriate levels of behavioral health care and community/inpatient resources
- Support patient safety planning and crisis intervention efforts
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions regarding patient care and treatment recommendations
Preferred Experience
- Experience in emergency behavioral health, crisis response, inpatient psych, acute care, or community mental health settings
- Strong assessment, de-escalation, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-acuity and fast-paced patient care environments
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
