We bring you Tomorrow's opportunity, today.Volt is immediately hiring a Machinist in Gonzales, LA 70737In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Responsibilities:Be responsible for personal safety and for the safety of others.Must maintain excellent housekeeping standards.Set-up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture Fisher parts to OEM print dimensions.Crosstrain on all machines to prevent lapse in production flow including but not limited to engine lathes, manual drills, horizontal bandsaws, CNC lathes, VTLs, HBMs, and CNC mills.Must understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per part drawings.Potential for field assignments using in-line machine. Some travel may be required.Adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations.For This Role, You Will Need:Mechanical related Associates degree or experience with machining and fabricating is a plus.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer relations skills are a must.Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:Mechanical related Associates degree or 5 years of experience with machining and fabricating.Welding knowledge preferred.Experience in the process control industry is a plus.Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems is strongly preferred.Strong computer skills with programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, and/or CAM software is preferred.:Manual lathe and milling experience.CNC lathe and milling experience.GD&T and print interpretationProcedure use and adherence.Proficient with G-code.Proficient with FANUC.Prepared to work in fast paced job shop environment with a high mix of different parts.Title: MachinistLocation: Gonzales, LA 70737Duration: 6 months(possible extensions or conversion)Shift: 1st shiftPay Range:? $35/hr. - $37/hr.*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should?APPLY NOW?for immediate consideration!
