As a Hot Head Operator, you will:
- Operate heading machines under direct supervision
- Review job travellers and confirm material and tooling setup
- Load materials and operate forging press per part specifications
- Perform basic in-process inspections using callipers, micrometres, and scales
- Follow standard operating procedures for logging, quality checks, and safe machine operation
- Assist with part measuring, documentation, and equipment setup
- 0–1 year of experience in manufacturing (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of shop math and machine tools
- Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions
- Familiarity with inspection tools like callipers and micrometres
- GED or high school diploma preferred
