ROLE SUMMARY
Volo Sports is redefining social sports, community, and play across the country—and our Volo Pass membership program is at the center of that experience. We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and hospitality-minded VP, Membership to own, scale, and elevate the next generation of our membership ecosystem.
This leader will be responsible for growing the Volo Pass program into a best-in-class paid membership product that drives high retention, strong referrals, exceptional customer experience, and long-term profitability. They will be the business owner of Membership—responsible for topline revenue, margin performance, product innovation, loyalty, local programming, and operational excellence.
This role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and works cross-functionally with local market leadership, finance, operations, marketing, creative, product, and Club Volo venues. Ideal candidates are strategic thinkers who can also dive into execution—comfortable building the vision while rolling up their sleeves to make it real at the local level.
Volo is looking for someone who can:
Membership Strategy & Growth
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and performance of the Volo Pass membership program, including pricing, packaging, feature development, and value creation.
- Develop long-term strategies to increase acquisition, retention, referrals, and lifetime value.
- Build the business case and financial model for membership growth, including topline revenue, margins, and net profit optimization.
- Partner closely with the Chief Commercial Officer to set and deliver on aggressive membership growth targets.
Hospitality Experience & Daily Programming
Design and implement a hospitality-driven membership experience, elevating the feeling of belonging, service, and connection within the Volo community.

- Build and standardize daily/weekly programming and perks across local markets that bring the membership value proposition to life.
- Ensure a consistent, high-quality experience across all markets—digital and physical.
Loyalty & Community Development
- Create a comprehensive loyalty strategy, highlighting benefits, recognition, access, and exclusive experiences for members.
- Translate the Volo brand into community-building moments that strengthen membership engagement and advocacy.
- Lead referral program strategy, optimizing incentives, behaviors, and messaging.
Club Volo Integration
- Partner with the Club Volo venue team to integrate membership deeply into venue operations, programming, events, and revenue streams.
- Build membership-specific experiences, exclusive access, and tiered benefits tied to physical locations.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate with local market GMs to execute programming, gather customer insights, and improve market-specific value drivers.
- Partner with Finance on forecasting, pricing, cohort analysis, and margin optimization.
- Work with Marketing & Creative to develop acquisition campaigns, brand positioning, and compelling storytelling around membership.
- Coordinate with Operations and Product to streamline processes, enhance digital experience, and scale best practices nationally.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Build and lead a high-performing Membership team dedicated to customer-centricity, operational excellence, and innovation.
- Foster a culture of hospitality, inclusivity, community-building, and continuous improvement.
Your expected skill set & experience:
- 10 years of experience in membership, loyalty, hospitality, consumer experience, or subscription-based businesses.
- Proven success scaling a membership or loyalty program with strong retention, engagement, and revenue results.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience managing P&L or major revenue lines.
- Background in hospitality, sports/recreation, fitness/wellness, consumer experiences, or multi-unit businesses preferred.
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills and comfort influencing without authority.
- Ability to think strategically while operating tactically; thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
- Strong customer empathy and a passion for building community-driven brands.
