We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Parts Advisor to join our Volkswagen dealership team. This role is essential to keeping our service department running efficiently by ensuring technicians and customers receive the correct parts quickly and accurately.
The ideal candidate has prior automotive experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist service technicians, advisors, and retail customers with parts requests and inquiries
- Accurately identify and source parts using manufacturer catalogs and dealership systems
- Order, receive, and stock parts while maintaining proper inventory levels
- Ensure timely delivery of parts to technicians to support shop productivity
- Process parts invoices, credits, and warranty returns
- Maintain an organized and clean parts department
- Communicate parts availability, backorders, and ETAs to the service team
- Upsell additional parts and accessories when appropriate
- Utilize dealership systems such as Xtime and Dealertrack
Qualifications
- Automotive experience is required (parts department, service advisor, technician, or dealership experience preferred)
- Previous parts advisor experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Volkswagen or OEM parts systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with Xtime, Dealertrack, or similar systems preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet
