Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for a Visually Impaired Teacher specializing in telehealth services. This role supports students remotely, delivering specialized instruction and assessment designed to meet the unique needs of visually impaired learners. The position operates on a 1099 contract basis, providing flexibility for professionals experienced in remote educational settings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting virtual assessments and evaluations to determine students’ visual and educational needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored for visually impaired students.
  • Providing direct instruction and support using telehealth platforms, adapting teaching methods to suit remote learning environments.
  • Collaborating with families, educators, and service providers to ensure comprehensive support and resource accessibility.
  • Monitoring student progress and updating documentation in compliance with educational standards.

Desired qualifications:

  • Certification or licensure to teach students with visual impairments.
  • Experience in delivering educational services through telehealth or virtual platforms.
  • Strong understanding of vision-related learning challenges and adaptive technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students, families, and educational teams.
