OVERVIEW
Summary
The Food Runner plays a key role in maintaining efficient service flow and upholding brand excellence. The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly, accurately, and professionally. In a high-energy, celebrity-branded restaurant environment, this role ensures food presentation standards are met while supporting servers and maintaining exceptional guest service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist
Assist with side work, including polishing silverware and restocking stations. Support team members during peak business hours. Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team.
Customer Service
Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely and organized manner. Announce dishes upon delivery and describe items when necessary. Verify dietary restrictions, modifications, and special requests. Assist servers with table maintenance and guest needs.
Quality Assurance
Ensure all dishes are accurate, properly plated, and meet presentation standards before leaving the kitchen. Maintain cleanliness of expo line and service areas. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Previous restaurant experience preferred (fine dining or high-volume experience a plus). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and presentation standards. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry trays up to 30–40 pounds.
