RESPONSIBILITIES Summary The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting in the kitchen to ensure efficient food production and high-quality dishes. Prepare ingredients including chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring. Safety Properly store food and label items according to food safety standards. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Assist Assist cooks and chefs with food preparation as needed. Assist with receiving and storing deliveries. Teamwork This role supports the culinary team by maintaining organization, cleanliness, and food safety standards while preparing items according to recipes and specifications. Quality Assurance Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment. Communication Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to leadership. REQUIREMENTS Experience Must be atleast 18 years of age. Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferredBasic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practicesAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and organizationAbility to follow instructions and recipes accuratelyFlexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to stand for long periodsPhysical mobility with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 pounds. Education High school completion or equivalent required. Performance Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
