RESPONSIBILITIES
Management
Responsible for directing the overall operations and staff of the Technology department. Evaluate, plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and improve the property's technology and audio/video environment. Develops, implements, and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives. Ensure that scheduling is done in an effective and efficient manner, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
Strategy
Participate in the development of design and implementation strategies to ensure property is kept abreast of technology or audio/video trends within the industry in accordance with enterprise governance and architectural standards. Participate in the development and ongoing operation of integration strategies to ensure optimal efficiency of computer systems and programs with existing end users.
Operations
Ensure adequate processing and storage capacity for growing business demands based on system demands and volumes. Continually reassess the competitiveness of technology and audio/video assets against the relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets. Establish and maintain credibility throughout the property with management and the employees to be an effective listener and problem solver of information issues.
Compliance
Coordinate the interdepartmental efforts relative to technology throughout the property. Manage the budget and other financial measures of the Technology Department. Regularly reassess systems mix, policies, procedures, and personnel to ensure compliance with strategic logics and operational objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or management information systems.
Experience
4-5 years of demonstrated experience in the application of a wide range of systems preferred. Minimum 4-5 years of project leadership or management experience. Proven experience in handling user problems and vendor relationships.
Knowledge
Subject matter knowledge of Gaming Operations or experience within a Casino environment. Familiarity with Governance and Information Security frameworks (PCI, NIST, SOX, Audit). Technical knowledge of the PC environment including hardware, operating system, and networking.
Skills
Ability to manage a team working in a high-pressure environment towards successful results for the property and company. Administrative, P/L management, technical, problem solving and negotiation skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to communicate at all levels within the company and vendors. Ability to analyze problems and apply logical/cost effective solutions.
License
Must be able to obtain an appropriate level gaming license.
