RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Assurance
Fills commissary orders to outlets. Observes and tests foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that it is cooked. Slices meats/cheeses/vegetables/fruits, portions food to fill orders.
Prepare
Prepares, season, and mix, grab & go salads/sandwiches/etc., compound salads, fruit/veggie displays, other foodstuffs for consumption in dining areas at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races by performing the following duties. Slices meats/cheeses/vegetables/fruits, portions food to fill orders. Adds seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking/mixing. Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
3 months' experience in the culinary field. Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission. Attend our West Virginia Food Handlers Class and pass certification.
Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
