Viterbo University is seeking a Financial Aid Counselor to join our Financial Aid team. This position plays a key role in supporting student success by providing financial aid counseling, administering aid programs, and ensuring accurate processing of financial aid awards and funding. The ideal candidate will be student-focused, detail-oriented, and possess strong analytical and communication skills. This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position.

Responsibilities
- Provides financial aid counseling and front-line customer service to current and prospective students, parents, and staff.
- Supports all communications activities such as document tracking, missing information, and award letter generation.
- Administers all WI state funding and programming, including reconciliation
- Perform Need Analysis and Awarding
- Study Abroad liaison to the Financial Aid Office
- Manage private student loan certifications, disbursements and adjustments
- Reconcile federal student loan program
- Other financial aid or related duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of Financial Aid.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum two years of financial aid experience preferred
- Strong analytical, communication, managerial, and technology skills.
