Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies based on physician preference cards.
- Follow strict aseptic techniques in all procedural areas.
- Ensure proper functioning and availability of instruments throughout procedures.
- Monitor and report any breaks in sterile technique.
- Clean, care for, and sterilize instruments and equipment per manufacturer and facility guidelines.
- Maintain inventory levels, update records, and ensure accurate instrument tracking.
- Operate sterilization equipment and perform biological and chemical testing as required.
- Assist with storage, restocking, and maintenance of sterile processing areas.
Required:
- Current Certified Surgical Scrub Technician certification/license in the state of Virginia
- Current BLS Certification
- Operating Room Experience
- Strong ethical and moral references
- Completion of a Surgical Technician Program or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure
Preferred:
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience
- Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience
