Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and intervention in accordance with ICU protocols.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to assess patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and ongoing care needs.
- Ensure patient safety and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Document all care provided accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in emergency response situations, including resuscitation efforts.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of one (1) year of ICU, critical care, or step-down nursing experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
