Key Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Provide critical interventions for trauma, cardiac, and other life-threatening emergencies.
- Monitor patients' conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated patient care.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Uphold patient safety, infection control, and emergency response procedures.
- Current RN license in the State of Illinois (or compact state eligibility).
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (Emergency Department or Critical Care preferred).
