We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team in providing exceptional support to clients requiring assistance with daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient well-being, excellent communication skills, and experience working with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those needing memory care. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and observe patients’ conditions, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences while maintaining cleanliness during food preparation.
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
- Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices; perform heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
- Document patient progress, update care plans regularly, and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies, or group homes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, vital signs measurement, CPR certification, first aid training, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism enhances suitability for this role.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and HIPAA compliance is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate direct support while maintaining professional boundaries.
