The Role
As an Estimator Engineer, you will bridge the gap between technical design and commercial execution. You’ll evaluate complex gearboxes, determine repair scopes, and develop comprehensive cost estimates that fuel our growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Evaluation: Review customer project requests and technical data; evaluate gearboxes to define repair scopes and work requirements.
- Strategic Estimating: Develop preliminary designs and full cost estimates (materials, engineering, manufacturing, and logistics).
- Collaborative Quoting: Partner with Sales to submit accurate quotes and ensure customer purchase orders align with technical specifications.
- Workflow Management: Balance multiple high-priority projects to meet tight manufacturing and delivery schedules.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: 3 years in linear/rotational machine design, specifically with gears within the power transmission industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of metal machining and manufacturing processes.
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Soft Skills: Superior time management and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or B.S.M.E.T.
- Design experience with SolidWorks.
