What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier Assistant position at Vision Vintage?
Every customer who walks through our doors ends their visit at the register — which means you're the last impression they leave with. We're looking for a Cashier Assistant who takes that seriously (but not too seriously — a sense of humor goes a long way on a busy Saturday).
What your day looks like
You'll ring up purchases, handle cash and card payments, and keep the line moving without making anyone feel rushed. Between customers, you'll tidy the checkout area, restock impulse items, and lend a hand wherever the front end needs it. When something unusual comes up — a price check, a tricky return, a coupon question — you'll either sort it out or grab a supervisor who can.
What we're looking for
No cashier experience? No problem — we'll train you, and you'll be paid while you learn. What we can't train is attitude, so here's what actually matters to us:
- You show up when you say you will
- You can count change and stay accurate when it's busy
- You stay patient when a customer isn't
- You're comfortable on your feet for a full shift and can lift around 25 lbs
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
What's in it for you
Health, dental, and vision coverage. Paid time off and holidays. A 401(k) with company match. Paid training from day one. And a real path upward — plenty of our shift leads and supervisors started right where you'd be starting.
