We are seeking a experienced Optician for our Creve Coeur and Lake St. Louis, MO offices that is hard-working and efficient, who can see the work that needs to be performed and complete all tasks efficiently.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current optician license required
- Associates or Bachelor Degree in Marketing or related field preferred
- Two years of experience as an optician in a busy practice required
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must have proficient computer skills
- Must be able to problem solve
- Must be detailed oriented
- Must have a working knowledge of post-operative Medicare, Medicare Replacement and Medicaid plans
- Must have excellent communication skills, proper grammar and writing capability
- Must be team-oriented
- Must be self-directed, highly motivated, able to multi-task, work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to accurately and efficiently handle multiple projects at one time
- Must have exceptional interpersonal skills
- Must possess a caring, patient and friendly attitude
- Must be familiar with all forms associated with the patient’s medical record (paper / electronic)
- Must be familiar with the use and operation of optical software
- Must be completely knowledgeable with lenses, frames and all optical supplies
- Must have a comkplete understanding of optical inventory
- Must have outstanding sales ability
- Wide-ranging knowledge applicable to eye care and current trends in eyewear
- Must have experience in conflict resolution
