Bookkeeper/General Accounting Position
Overview
Bookkeeper/General Accounting professional needed. Ideal candidate has experience
using Quickbooks, or similar small business accounting system, to process accounts
payable, electronic payments, customer billing, accounts receivable, and general
accounting. Candidate must also be proficient in Excel. Experience processing general
journal entries is a plus.
Primary Duties
Accounts Payable
o Vendor master set up for bill processing
o General ledger coding for bills and payments processed
o Schedule recurring and date specific electronic payments by due date
Quickbooks payments, Bank ACH, Zelle
o Monthly credit card coding/processing
o Year-End 1099 processing
Customer Billing
o Customer master record set up
o Create and send electronic invoices
o Manage open accounts receivable and follow up on past due invoices
o Apply electronic bank payments against customer accounts receivable
invoices
General Accounting
o Assist with managing/maintaining GL chart of accounts & Product master
files
o Run special reports as needed
o Respond to inquiries/communicate with government entities (State, Local,
& Federal) as needed
o Electronic banking management
o Multiple company processing
Work Requirements and pay
o Independent contractor role – supply W-9
o Flexible schedule
o Must have minimum of 20 hours per week available for work
o Hybrid role but should have availability to work in Munster office 1-2 days
per week for meetings and working with other staff.
o $2,000 Monthly Base Pay $25/hr for time worked
Pay: From $2,000.00 per month
