In this dynamic role, you will deliver high-quality physical therapy services that help students succeed academically and developmentally by supporting mobility, functional independence, and participation in school routines.
Position OverviewAs a school-based outpatient clinician, you will work directly with students, educators, and families to assess needs, create tailored therapy plans, and help students meet their individualized education plan (IEP) goals. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams while enjoying the autonomy to manage your caseload in a setting that encourages professional growth, innovation, and teamwork.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct school screenings, physical therapy evaluations, and assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
Monitor progress and adjust plans based on student performance and feedback
Collaborate with educators, family members, and therapy teams to create holistic interventions
Provide ongoing education and coaching to families to support therapy beyond the classroom
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulatory and school system guidelines
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
Current or pending licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina
Pediatric therapy or school-based therapy experience preferred
Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
