Position Summary
Virginia Transformer is seeking an experienced Information Technology Specialist to join our team in Pocatello, Idaho. This is a hands-on, onsite role supporting enterprise technology initiatives that improve business operations across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and corporate functions.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading IT implementations, supporting enterprise software, managing technology vendor relationships, and driving digital transformation through Microsoft Power Platform solutions. This position combines technical expertise with business partnership to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Systems & IT Projects
- Lead technology initiatives through the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify technology solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Support enterprise application implementations, upgrades, integrations, and ongoing optimization.
- Participate in ERP implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Microsoft Power Platform & Process Automation
- Work closely with project managers and business leaders to identify manual processes suitable for automation.
- Design and develop solutions utilizing Microsoft Power Platform, including:
- Power Automate
- Power Apps
- Power BI
- Build automated workflows that increase productivity and reduce manual effort.
- Develop Office 365-based solutions leveraging SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Create dashboards and reports that provide actionable business insights.
Technology Contracts & Vendor Management
- Support software licensing management and compliance.
- Maintain a strong understanding of software licensing models and vendor agreements.
- Assist with negotiating and managing software vendor contracts.
- Maintain technology contract documentation and contract management systems.
- Support cloud-based software and infrastructure initiatives.
Technical Support & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with IT leadership on strategic technology initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
- Ensure technology solutions meet security, scalability, and business requirements.
- Provide end-user support during system deployments and enhancements.
- Document processes, workflows, and technical procedures.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive IT experience supporting enterprise business systems.
- Experience managing or leading medium-to-large enterprise technology implementations.
- Strong understanding of enterprise applications and systems integration.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Pocatello, Idaho.
Preferred
- PMP Certification.
- Experience with ERP implementations.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform:
- Power Apps
- Power Automate
- Power BI
- Experience with software licensing and technology contract management.
- Experience working with large software vendors.
- Experience supporting cloud computing environments.
- Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred.
