Job Description
The Patron Services Operations Manager provides leadership and oversight for front-of-house operations at the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech; including patron services, rental event management, and concessions. Reporting to the Director of Ticketing and Patron Services, this position manages front-of-house operations and staffing while ensuring exceptional patron experiences. The Manager supervises student and wage staff, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and serves as a key operational leader in support of the Center’s performances and events.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in arts administration, business, event management, hospitality management, theater management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Customer service and conflict resolution experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, coordinate projects or activities, and maintain accurate and timely administrative records
- Experience coordinating events, venue operations, patron service operations, or related activities
- Experience recruiting, training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating employees, student workers, volunteers, or event staff
- Experience with ticketing systems such as Audience View
- Experience with venue management systems such as Artifax
- Experience managing rental or client-based events
- Experience in a performing arts center, university venue, conference center, or similar public assembly facility
- Experience overseeing concessions, retail, or ancillary revenue operations
- Emergency management, CPR, or First Aid certification
