Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds is seeking adjunct instructors to teach online courses in English to dually enrolled Virginia high schoolers.
Part-time adjunct teaching faculty-ranked appointment without state benefits. Salary commensurate with the experience of the applicant, in graduate education in the field, related full-time occupational employment, and full-time equivalent teaching.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in English; or the Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in English.
The selected candidate must be able to successfully pass the college’s pre-employment security screening.
Additional Considerations
Community college, high school, and online teaching experience. Experience with Canvas. Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to place a strong emphasis on student-centered learning and provide an innovative e-learning experience. Demonstrated ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
Operation of a State Vehicle No Supervises Employees No Required Travel
Travel among Reynolds campuses and partner sites may be needed.
