The Executive Assistant represents the Provost to others and serves as the gatekeeper for internal and external contacts that may include students, faculty, college staff, and community/employer stakeholders.

Duties And Tasks
- Conserves the Provost’s time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence – drafting letters and documents
- Collecting and analyzing information
- Obtaining meeting minutes and initiating telecommunications.
- Maintains the Provost’s appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, travel, and teleconferences.
- Schedules meetings using video conferencing technology.
- Serves as first point of contact for calls to the Provost and answers or directs inquiries.
- Prepares the necessary documents and tracks HR functions within the division.
- Understands information security and maintains confidentiality.
- Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information.
- Reviews and analyzes budget information.
- Ensures operation of equipment.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
- Review professional publications
- Establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks related to special projects.
- Works independently on projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Make regular requests from employees for updates and input on college decisions and share feedback with supervisors for inclusion in the NOVA Brief.
