Position: Loan Processor
Location: Miami, FL
Work Hours: 7:15 AM – 3:30 PM (M-F)

Position Overview:
VIP Executive Search is seeking a Loan Processor to join a respected Credit Union in Miami. This role is responsible for supporting lending operations, assisting members with loan applications, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a detail-oriented, service-focused environment and contributes to both operational efficiency and exceptional member experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist members and visitors professionally and courteously.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML, CIP, and OFAC.
- Identify and report suspicious activity related to transactions.
- Complete required training, including annual BSA/AML refreshers.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with members, resolving inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Receive, review, process, and book consumer loan applications accurately.
- Evaluate credit applications, verify employment and income, compute debt ratios, and determine collateral value.
- Coordinate loan approvals, closings, disbursements, and wire transfers.
- Explain loan denials professionally, and provide guidance or alternatives to members.
- Process and service loans, including payoffs, refinances, problem loan workouts, address changes, payment extensions, and collateral releases.
- File vehicle titles, verify insurance coverage, and manage associated documentation.
- Offer relevant insurance products such as credit life, disability, VSA, and GAP coverage.
- Process VISA applications and credit line adjustments.
- Maintain communication and coordination with management and support personnel.
- Assist in training and cross-training of loan support staff.
- Ensure proper documentation, compliance, and secure record-keeping for all loan activity.
- Cross-sell credit union products and services as appropriate.
- Support the goals of the credit union through teamwork and by maintaining a clean and secure work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible experience in consumer lending preferred.
- Experience in a sales-oriented environment (2–3 years).
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with MS Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel), and financial systems.
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate policies and procedures effectively.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
