Duties
- Collaborate with clients to understand their cabinetry needs, preferences, and project goals
- Create detailed design concepts using SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite to visualize ideas clearly
- Develop comprehensive construction documents and drafting plans that adhere to building codes and safety standards
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project managers to ensure seamless execution of designs
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and contracts to deliver high-quality results on schedule
- Conduct site visits for remodeling or renovation projects to assess space requirements and oversee installation processes
- Incorporate lighting design principles and color theory into cabinetry layouts for optimal aesthetic appeal
- Prepare detailed proposals including pricing estimates for clients based on scope of work and material costs
- Stay current with industry trends in interior design, lighting sales, and construction techniques to continually enhance your craft
Experience
- Proven experience in cabinetry design or interior design with a strong portfolio showcasing completed projects
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Bluebeam, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite for drafting and visualization
- Knowledge of CAD software applications related to drafting and construction documentation
- Familiarity with project management practices including budgeting, scheduling, and contracts management
- Experience working within remodeling or renovation projects involving construction teams and suppliers
- Strong understanding of lighting design principles and lighting sales processes is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while managing multiple projects simultaneously
