Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 40 hours

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to oversee daily operations, support nursing staff, and ensure high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, the ability to manage workflows efficiently, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the nursing unit to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care
- Supervise, support, and mentor nursing staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment
- Coordinate staffing schedules and manage assignments based on patient needs and acuity
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Monitor patient care outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and other departments
- Assist in staff development, training, and performance evaluations
- Address patient and family concerns, ensuring satisfaction and safety
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper record-keeping
- Support infection control practices and patient safety protocols
Experience:
- Active RN license (State of Maine or compact license)
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage staff and coordinate patient care effectively
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
- Any additional specialty certifications relevant to the unit are a plus
