Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery for a travel assignment in a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma facility. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with a wide range of conditions, from routine to complex obstetric cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to assigned Labor & Delivery patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognizing and responding to changes
- Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products as prescribed
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and deliveries
- Document patient responses, treatments, and changes in condition
- Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
Work Environment
- High-acuity Labor & Delivery unit in a Level 1 trauma center
- Fast-paced, team-oriented setting
- Exposure to complex obstetric and neonatal cases
Requirements
- Active RN License (Oklahoma or Compact State)
- Minimum 5 years of Labor & Delivery experience in a Level 1 setting
- Minimum 2 years of recent travel nursing experience
- Strong clinical skills in high-risk obstetrics
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Advanced Provider or Instructor
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) – Required
- BSN or MSN – Preferred

Compensation
Traveler (W2):
- Blended Rate: $76.00/hr
- Weekly Pay: $2,736
- Taxable: $1,368/week
- Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,368/week
Traveler (1099):
- Hourly Rate: $79.00
- Weekly Pay: $2,884
Pay: $76.00 - $79.00 per hour
Experience:
- Labor and Delivery in Level 1 Trauma: 5 years (Required)
- Travel nursing: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- BLS from AHA (Required)
