What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Inspector position at Village Realty Holdings, LLC?
- Commuting to and from properties in your respective territory. Travel efficiently between assigned properties to conduct regular inspections and ensure timely responses to any issues that arise.
- Performing inspections for cleaning and maintenance issues. This involves ensuring that the property is clean to a high standard, checking for any broken items, verifying that inventory is stocked, and confirming that appliances and other electronics are working properly before the next guest arrives.
- Performing small maintenance repairs. Execute minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, or addressing other minor issues to maintain the property’s functionality and aesthetics.
- Reporting large maintenance issues. Identify and document significant maintenance concerns that require professional attention. Communicate these issues promptly to the appropriate maintenance personnel or contractors to ensure timely resolution.
- Preparing properties for guest and owner arrivals. Ensure that each property is guest-ready by overseeing the cleaning process, restocking supplies, and performing final walkthroughs to guarantee that everything is in order before check-in.
- Managing property inventory and staging. Keep track of property inventory, including linens, toiletries, and other essential items. Arrange and stage properties to create an inviting atmosphere that enhances the guest experience.
- Delivering needed items to guests. Provide exceptional customer service by delivering any requested items to guests during their stay, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
- Maintaining accurate records. Document inspection findings, maintenance requests, and inventory levels to ensure transparency and facilitate effective communication within the team.
- Collaborating with cleaning and maintenance teams. Work closely with cleaning staff and maintenance teams to ensure a seamless operation and address any issues that may arise during property turnover.
- Other duties as assigned
- Previous experience in property management, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and squat frequently to inspect properties, check appliances, and perform minor repairs.
- Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, for tasks such as delivering supplies or moving furniture.
- Stamina to walk and stand for extended periods while conducting property inspections and overseeing cleaning processes.
- Dexterity and coordination to handle tools and equipment for small maintenance tasks.
- Ability to navigate stairs, uneven terrain, and various property layouts to access all areas of the properties being managed.
- Visual acuity to identify maintenance issues, cleanliness standards, and inventory levels during inspections.
- Ability to navigate stairs and climb ladders to access various areas of the properties, including attics, roofs, and high shelves
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors frequently, adapting to varying temperatures, including hot and cold weather conditions.
- Weekends and Holiday availability required
