What are the responsibilities and job description for the SKILLED SEASONAL LABORER position at Village of Glendale Heights?
The Village of Glendale Heights is seeking applicants for a Skilled Seasonal Laborer in the Public Works Department to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work in the Streets Division. This position will operate a variety of equipment in the operation to perform a variety of skilled and semiskilled grounds maintenance work and construction work.
Qualifications:
Qualified applicants must be able to read and have the ability to work diligently with team spirit and have a basic knowledge of the use and application of hand tools and some power tools. Most assignments require physical stamina, heavy lifting of up to 100 pounds and sometimes working in inclement weather conditions.
Special Requirements
Three years of Public Works experience is preferred relating to a variety of skills in construction. Valid CDL Class B (Air Endorsement) Driver’s License required at time of application.
This is a temporary position (1,000 hours) for the summer months in 2026. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 40 hours weekly. Work may be performed in outdoor conditions and/or near vehicular traffic.

Hourly pay rate is $30.00.
