Job Summary
The Elementary Teacher provides classroom instruction that integrates academic excellence with a distinctly Christian worldview. This position is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging instructional experiences that support student growth academically, socially, and spiritually. Teachers at Village Christian School are expected to cultivate a CAREing, Christ-centered learning environment where students thrive, while modeling professional excellence, collaboration, and spiritual leadership.
Requirements / Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in education (four-year degree) is required. A master’s degree in an educational field and/or a valid teaching credential is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong instructional practices, classroom management skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in integrating appropriate technology into instruction. A vibrant and growing Christian faith aligned with the mission of Village Christian School is required.
Applicants must submit a completed employment application, resume, and proof of degree. Teaching credential documentation (if applicable) should also be submitted. Upon hire, employees must provide documentation verifying authorization to work in the United States (I-9), complete required background checks and Live Scan fingerprinting, and provide TB clearance in accordance with state regulations. A signed faith statement and any additional documentation required by school policy must be completed as part of the onboarding process.

Teachers are expected to model Christ-centered character, professionalism, and teamwork at all times.
This is a full-time or part-time, exempt position. Salary ranges from $45,000 – $65,000 per year and is dependent upon candidate qualifications and experience. Full-time teachers are eligible for benefits.
This position reports directly to the Elementary Principal.
