A High School Diploma is required. Prior coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of wrestling techniques, rules, weight management standards, conditioning, and match preparation. Applicants must possess effective communication skills, leadership ability, organizational skills, and a commitment to modeling Christian character. CPR/First Aid certification may be required prior to the start of the season.

Applicants must submit a completed employment application and resume reflecting coaching and wrestling experience. Upon hire, employees must provide documentation verifying authorization to work in the United States (I-9), complete required background checks and Live Scan fingerprinting, and provide proof of education. Additional documentation such as TB clearance and a signed faith statement may be required in accordance with school policy and state regulations.

The Head Wrestling Coach organizes and directs team practices; instructs student-athletes in wrestling fundamentals, techniques, safety procedures, conditioning, and competitive strategy; evaluates athlete performance; supervises athletes during practices and competitions; ensures adherence to weight management and safety guidelines; distributes and manages equipment and uniforms; maintains required eligibility and athletic documentation; models sportsmanship and Christ-centered leadership; communicates effectively with athletes, parents, and administration; and performs additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or Principal. The role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, effective communication, attention to safety, and alignment with the mission of Village Christian School. This is a seasonal, stipend position.
