Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiology Technologist for a full-time, long-term contract opportunity in Toms River, NJ.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Radiologic Technologists, CT Technologists, MRI Technologists, and Sonographers looking to work in a high-quality clinical environment alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary imaging team.
Diagnostic Radiology Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging exams across one or more modalities, including General Radiography (X-ray, fluoroscopy), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Bone Densitometry (DEXA), and Ultrasound/Sonography
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the imaging process, answer questions, and provide reassurance and support throughout each exam
- Position patients and adjust equipment to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure
- Prepare and administer contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after administration
- Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment and follow ARRT/ARDMS practice guidelines and technical standards
- Accurately and promptly document exam findings, patient information, and case notes in the electronic health record and PACS system
- Recognize equipment malfunctions and refer for repair; maintain a clean, disinfected workspace per standard operating procedure
Diagnostic Radiology Technologist Requirements
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice Radiologic Technology in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia
- Certification in general Radiologic Technology (R) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); advanced ARRT certification (CT, MRI, M, or specialty) required for modality-specific assignments performed independently
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required for ultrasound/sonography assignments
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the applicable imaging modality, or equivalent caseload experience
- Current BLS certification
- Working knowledge of PACS, digital radiography (CR/DR), and electronic health record documentation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative clinical team
Schedule
- Full-time | Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with a ½-hour unpaid break each shift
- Long-term, multi-year contract opportunity with no weekend or holiday rotation required
