Job Title: Behavioral Health Clinical Team Lead

Job Code: HCP053/Social Worker, Licensed 3

Shift: Full-Time (40 hours per week on average)

Job Hours: 8:30-5:00PM (Times May Vary)

Base Location: Onsite - Covington, GA.

Division/Department/Program: Newton Outpatient Center

At the outpatient centers, we promote overall health and quality of life for individuals, youth and families through evidenced-based therapies and medication management to reduce the impact of mental illness, behavior challenges, and substance use.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  •      Provides supervision to subordinate staff, including service plan and documentation reviews for conformity to agency and payer requirements.
  •      Appropriately interprets, implements, and enforces compliance with agency policies and procedures and safety regulations.
  •      May assist with applicant interviews and hiring process. Trains and evaluates performance of staff.  schedules for staff coverage. 
  •      Approves leave requests and follows and implements agency policies regarding use of leave, communicates with payroll for any leave or pay adjustments
  •      Ensure QA standards are met - including service plan and documentation reviews for conformity to agency and payer requirements, write performance evaluations and individual development plans.
  •      Participates in the hiring of staff; provides supervision to direct reports; completes performance assessments and coaches staff with performance improvement
  •      Provides clinical supervision to team clinicians and provides therapeutic services to clients
  •      Adheres to agency standards with clinical documents and ensure team is following standards as well as checking Carelogic alerts
  •      May assist with agency quarterly Peer Reviews
  •      Assists with client transfers and referrals
  •      Completes diagnostic formulations and assessments
  •      Collaboratively formulate SMART treatment plans to address issues identified in assessment
  •      Participate in play therapy supervision and utilize play therapy in sessions with clients
  •      Provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions to clients of all ages
  •      Assist client/family in identifying, developing, and sustaining appropriate natural support systems
  •      May communicate with outside agencies/providers as needed (i.e., schools, IEP team)
  •      Provide psychoeducation to family around mental health, trauma, recovery
  •      Collaborate with other behavioral health and physical health providers to holistically address client needs
  •      Complete all required documentation (daily clinical notes, assessments, treatment plans) in an accurate and timely manner (agency standard 24 hrs.)
  •      Participate in regular team meetings to collaborate regarding shared clients, build and practice new skills, and stay up to date on agency administrative information
  •      Participating in clinical supervision to increase competence and professional development
  •      Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hour coverage, via phone
  •      Completes annual training requirements as outlined by agency and/or supervisor
  •      Performs other related tasks assigned by the supervisor
  •      Outpatient After-hours Call Rotation   Clinicians are expected to assist in coverage of after-hours outpatient client calls via phone only.  Rotations are for one week and the frequency of rotation is dependent on the number of staff covering the calls. An additional supplement is provided to staff that cover a weekly shift.
  •      Other program related duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university AND licensure in the area of assignment AND three (3) years of related experience at the lower level Social Worker, Licensed 3 (HCP052) or position equivalent; OR Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university and licensure in the area of assignment and there (3) years of experience in the provision of therapeutic services with which includes one (1) year in a managerial or supervisory role.

 

Note: Some position may require licensure in the state of Georgia as an LCSW or LPC.

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  •     Fully licensed in state of Georgia as LCSW or LPC.
  •     Experience with Carelogic or other EHR/EMR
  •     Previous experience working with SPMI, SUD and/or co-occurring disorders

 

 

Requirements/Competencies:

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
  • Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
  • Must have valid Georgia driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
  • Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.

 

Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
