• Experience: At least 2 years ICU experience in adult surgical and medical ICU

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver expert care to adult ICU patients with complex diagnoses including stroke, respiratory failure, sepsis, and renal failure
• Manage ventilator use, assist with intubation and extubation, and oversee vascular access procedures
• Monitor and titrate IV medications, vasoactive drips, and support total patient care
• Document patient status and response using Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Support unit operations, including patient assessments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Float to PCU or MedSurg units, maintaining safety ratios and standards
• Assist with advanced procedures like EVD drains and art line management

What You Need:
Required:

• Valid nursing license in Louisiana
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience in adult surgical or medical units
• Experience with stroke, ventilator management, and critical care procedures
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam

Preferred:

• Post-CABG experience, open-heart surgery familiarity
• Experience in neuro and cardiac ICU settings

About the Assignment:
Join a dedicated unit with a 20-bed capacity providing critical care to adult ICU patients with diverse diagnoses. The team includes charge RNs, CNAs, and support services available 24/7, offering a collaborative environment for professional growth. You’ll be responsible for delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced ICU setting, with orientation provided to ensure successful integration into the team. This contract offers a mix of 3/2 or 5/2 schedule rotations, including weekend work and some holidays, supporting work-life balance in a supportive facility.
