Job Overview
Victory Residential Services is looking for a dependable, organized, and caring House Manager to oversee one of our residential homes.
The House Manager is responsible for making sure the home runs smoothly, staff are providing quality services, and the needs and rights of each person we support are respected.
The ideal candidate should have experience working with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities, autism, behavioral needs, or in a residential/group home setting. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
This is primarily a daytime management position. However, because our residential homes provide 24-hour support, the House Manager may occasionally be asked to help cover a shift during an emergency or unexpected staffing situation when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the residential home.
- Supervise, support, and provide guidance to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
- Make sure staff follow each member's Person-Centered Plan, goals, support plans, and other required services.
- Ensure members are treated with dignity and respect and that their rights, choices, privacy, and independence are supported.
- Monitor staff documentation and make sure daily notes and other required records are accurate and completed on time.
- Make sure medications are administered and documented correctly by qualified staff.
- Help maintain appropriate staffing and communicate scheduling or staffing concerns to the office.
- Ensure the home is clean, safe, organized, and properly maintained.
- Support members with appointments, activities, community involvement, and daily living needs.
- Communicate with guardians, case managers, healthcare providers, and the VRS management team as needed.
- Report incidents, safety concerns, medication issues, and other concerns according to VRS and State requirements.
- Help ensure the home and staff follow MaineCare Section 21, HCBS, licensing requirements, and VRS policies and procedures.
- Attend meetings and required trainings.
- Provide leadership and help create a positive, respectful environment for both members and staff.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioral needs.
- Residential, group home, DSP, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Dependable, organized, and able to handle problems calmly and professionally.
- Able to supervise staff and hold staff accountable while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Understanding of member rights, confidentiality, safety, and person-centered care.
- Ability to complete and review documentation accurately.
- CRMA certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with members, families, guardians, case managers, and other professionals.
- Must meet all VRS and State of Maine employment and training requirements.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
