Position Summary
The Automotive Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and technicians for automotive service and repair. The Advisor listens carefully to customer concerns, schedules service appointments, manages repair authorizations, and sets expectations for service delivery. This role requires excellent communication and customer service skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule service appointments and ensure accurate diagnosis of vehicle issues
- Communicate repair status updates and manage customer expectations regarding service timelines
- Provide repair recommendations and facilitate approval for work to be performed
- Ensure completed repairs pass quality control and road testing procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle operations, warranties, campaigns, and applicable regulations
- Complete required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Adhere to all safety policies and participate in staff meetings and training sessions
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support dealership operations

Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least one year of dealer-level or large automotive facility experience preferred
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and dependable work ethic
- Basic computer and internet proficiency
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions clearly
- Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
