The Role
VICE Media is seeking a Communications Intern to support the communications team for Summer 2026. This role reports to the Chief Communications Officer and sits at the center of VICE's global communications function—spanning corporate and executive communications, internal communications, media relations, and brand communications across the full portfolio. This is a hands-on role that blends executive support with real communications work. You will contribute directly to the day-to-day operations of the CCO's office while lending support across VICE's business units—including VICE Studios, VICE Brand Group (VIRTUE Worldwide, London Alley, and Pulse Films), VICE TV, and VICE News. The ideal candidate is organized, curious, and eager to gain experience at the intersection of media, culture, and storytelling.
Program Details
- Dates: Flexible Late May through Early August (approximately 12 weeks)
- Hours: 20 hours per week
- Location: Los Angeles
- In-Office Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (preferred)
- Reports To: Chief Communications Officer, VICE Media
Key Responsibilities
Executive & Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support for the CCO, helping manage priorities across a fast-moving communications team in Los Angeles, New York and London
- Prepare agendas, take notes, and track follow-ups for internal and external meetings
- Support organizational systems and file management to keep the office running efficiently
Communications & Media
- Monitor daily media coverage across VICE's portfolio using tools like Muckrack and other search tools; surface relevant hits and flag priority coverage
- Compile media reports and coverage recaps for internal distribution
- Conduct research on journalists, outlets, industry trends, and competitive communications activity
- Post and maintain press releases and announcements across the corporate website and internal channels
- Assist in drafting internal communications materials, LinkedIn content or materials for executive prep and interviews
Cross-Portfolio Project Support
- Assist with project-level communications needs across business units as they arise
Capstone Project
Over the course of the internship, develop an original communications plan for a designated VICE project or business unit—culminating in a final presentation to the team.
Who You Are
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a related field
- Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through
- Strong written and verbal communicator with an instinct for tone and clarity
- Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working across multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Google Workspace; comfortable building decks and managing documents
- Exercises a high level of discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information; this role requires signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to synthesize information, build systems, processes and materials that bring clarity and organization to a fast-moving team.

- Experience with or interest in internal communications, culture-building, or executive communications
- Exposure to a media, entertainment, agency, or communications environment
