Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic and nail extension applications with precision and artistry
- Apply color theory principles to recommend suitable shades and designs that complement each client’s style and skin tone
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation, disinfection procedures, and proper disinfection of tools and workstations
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences, provide expert advice on nail care, and ensure a satisfying experience
- Upsell retail products such as nail care items, skincare products, or accessories to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Stay updated on current trends in nail art, techniques like dermabrasion or eyelash extensions, and new product offerings to provide innovative services
- Follow all salon safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a Nail Technician or related role with knowledge of cosmetology standards
- Strong understanding of nail care techniques including acrylic application, gel manicures, nail extensions, and sanitation procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and understand their needs
- Knowledge of color theory to create visually appealing designs tailored to individual preferences
- Familiarity with retail sales techniques and upselling strategies to promote products effectively
- Ability to perform detailed work while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety compliance
- Certification in cosmetology or related licensing as required by local regulations; additional training in esthetic laser treatment or hair styling is a plus
