- Communicate clearly with clients about their desired looks, ensuring satisfaction through attentive client communication and mentoring when needed
Skills
- Proficiency in salon software systems like MINDBODY for efficient appointment management
- Strong knowledge of hair care, coloring, styling, and hair extensions techniques
- Experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on customer service excellence
- Skilled in barbering techniques such as straight razor shaves and hair threading
- Familiarity with sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Ability to perform makeup application and nail care services as part of comprehensive beauty offerings
- Excellent communication skills for client consultation, upselling retail products, and team collaboration
- Knowledge of color theory to achieve precise hair coloring results
- Experience mentoring junior staff or apprentices within a salon setting
- Store management skills including retail math for product sales optimization
