Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, this position is responsible for the shipment of goods and receipt of components according to established practices and procedures.
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Follows all FDA and ISO 134985 specifications
2. Follows all personal and manufacturing Good Manufacturing Practices as defined by Viant practices
3. Remains current with all required training and certifications
4. Keeps up to date on requirements to perform all jobs within shipping and receiving
5. Insures incoming and outgoing product and inventory is correctly shipped and entered into the ERP system for production planning, accuracy, and traceability purposes
6. Operates Forklift or other material handling equipment in a safe and effective manner to load and unload materials
7. Assures all materials, components and products are shipped on time to meet customer requirements
8. Assists with the material handling functions as needed to support Operations
9. Prepares proper documentation for US and international shipments as required
10. Responsible for the receipt of goods, return to vendors, and flow of material throughout incoming process
11. Maintains 5s principles in all work areas at all times
12. Flexible schedule will be required to meet business needs, some overtime, weekend, and on call hours may be required
13. Perform other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge/Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Forklift certification
- 1-3 year experience in Shipping and Receiving
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and with fellow team members
- Attention to detail and organization skills
- Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office
- Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination
- Extended periods of bending, lifting, walking and standing
- Significant use of hands
- Frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs., occasionally lifting up to 60lbs., occasionally more, but will require team lifting or use of a lift assist during these circumstances
- Must be able and willing to wear personal protective equipment as required including:
- Protective eyewear
- Ear plugs
- Protective gowning (Safety Shoes, Apron, Respirator, Safety Shield)
