Job Description
VI Resorts by Westgate, a leader in the timeshare industry, is looking for a motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. As the Sr. Accountant, you will serve as a key member of the accounting team, performing a variety of tasks and projects. The accounting staff regularly interacts with resort managers, vendors, sales staff, the management team, and various corporate departments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries and financial analysis
- Prepare various budgets with variance analysis
- Cash projections for multiple accounts
- Multiple currency transactions
- Bank/month-end reconciliations for multiple locations
- HOA Accounting
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- AA in Accounting, and/or 5 years of accounting experience
- Great Plains a plus
- A/R and A/P experience required
Knowledge, skills, abilities:
- Must have strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- High attention to detail
- Ability to complete complex assignments independently
- Ability to manage time and prioritize competing deadlines
- Reliable and trustworthy
- A positive “can-do” attitude and ability to be a team player.
