We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Bellevue for a contract role.The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing complex accounting processes, ensuring financial accuracy, and adhering to compliance standards. The role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic environment.Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysisManage the general ledger to ensure proper classification and documentation of transactionsProvide insights into financial performance by analyzing data, identifying trends, and delivering actionable recommendations to support business strategyEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations; assist in the preparation of tax filingsSupport audits, including preparing audit schedules and liaising with internal and external auditorsSupervise and mentor junior accounting staff by providing guidance, training, and development opportunitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and enhance operational efficienciesResearch regulatory changes and implement new accounting standards as required to ensure compliance and best practices
