Job Overview – Registered Nurse (Float Pool)

This role is part of the Float Pool department, where nurses may be assigned to different units based on hospital needs. Nurses must clock in under the specific unit they are working in. This department may also include training and non-productive hours.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
• Acute care hospital experience – Preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
• CPR Certification – Required
• Hospital Fire & Life Safety (HLFS) – Required

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect relevant health data
• Develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress
• Administer care and ensure a safe environment
• Collaborate with doctors, patients, and healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families on health conditions
• Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care
• Delegate tasks and coordinate with team members

Job Types: Full-time, Travel nursing, Contract

Pay: $61.00 - $66.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• RN: 2 years (Required)
• Emergency room: 2 years (Required)
• float pool or multiple hospital units: 2 years (Required)
• Hospital Environment: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• RN License (Required)
• BLS Certification from AHA (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• Hospital Fire & Life Safety (HLFS) (Required)

Shift availability:
