Travel Surgical Technologist Perioperative

Role Overview: Facilitates safe and efficient surgical procedures by preparing the operating suite, ensuring equipment functionality, assisting with patient positioning and draping, passing instruments, and managing specimens.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical area with drapes, solutions, instruments, and supplies.
• Ensure proper operation of surgical equipment and instruments.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transportation.
• Pass instruments to the physician during surgery and monitor instrument counts.
• Receive and process laboratory specimens.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma, GED, or military training.
• State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration.
• Minimum one year of related experience.
• Current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
