Role Overview
The Volunteer Engagement Specialist provides vital operational support to the Volunteer Directorate. This role focuses on the day-to-day execution of initiatives that foster a positive volunteer culture, ensuring that recognition, communication, and feedback programs are maintained consistently and to a high standard.

The Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization committed to guiding military service members, veterans, and their spouses toward excellence in project management. We aim to build a strong, supportive community through mentorship, networking, and professional development, and we strongly believe in the transformative power of project management skills for veterans. VPMMA is committed to providing all volunteers with an equal opportunity and a harassment-free environment, and may require background checks for certain positions. Volunteers must maintain confidentiality, adhere to our Code of Conduct, and comply with all applicable laws and policies.
Training and Support

Role Overview
The Volunteer Engagement Specialist provides vital operational support to the Volunteer Directorate. This role focuses on the day-to-day execution of initiatives that foster a positive volunteer culture, ensuring that recognition, communication, and feedback programs are maintained consistently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Metric Tracking & Reporting Consistently track volunteer satisfaction metrics and assist in compiling reports on program outcomes to measure the health of the volunteer community.
- Initiative Coordination Execute volunteer recognition programs, assist in the logistics of event planning, and support the distribution of volunteer communications.
- Feedback Administration Support the analysis of volunteer feedback to help the organization understand community needs and sentiments.
- Process Improvement Identify daily operational challenges and propose practical improvements to the Deputy Director to enhance program efficiency.
- Documentation Maintenance Ensure all operational procedures and documentation related to engagement activities are up to date and accessible.
- Type Volunteer
- Location Remote.
- Time Commitment Approximately 3-5 hours per week
- Reporting Structure Reports directly to the Director of Volunteers
- Alternate Report Chief Volunteer Officers
- Term Six months to one-year commitment.
