Mission of the Role
This role exists to design, improve, and scale the systems that manufacture and distribute ultra-high purity electronic and specialty gasses, the invisible infrastructure behind semiconductors and advanced technology.
The Senior Process Engineer leads from the front of design. Starting with a blank page, this leader defines system architecture, drives technical decisions, ensures regulatory compliance, and carries projects through commissioning and plant startup.
This is not maintenance engineering. This is engineering ownership from concept to operational turnover inside a highly specialized, high-consequence manufacturing environment.
Build safe, scalable, and technically sound gas systems that support plant operations, enable growth, and protect customers.
Success means:
Systems start up correctly.
Safety and regulatory compliance are uncompromised.
Projects are delivered with technical rigor and cross-functional alignment.
Plant operations trust the engineering behind what they run.
Lead Front-End System Design
Develop PFDs, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, and equipment specifications.
Design gas purification, handling, and disposal systems from concept through commissioning.
Serve as technical authority during startup and turnover.
Drive Technical Decision-Making
Evaluate viability, cost, risk, and long-term operability.
Make disciplined engineering decisions with full awareness of operational impact.
Anticipate downstream consequences not just immediate fixes.
Support Operational Excellence
Partner with plant engineering, project management, procurement, safety, and quality teams.
Solve plant-based technical problems with creativity and urgency.
Improve efficiency, reliability, and system performance.
Ensure Regulatory & Safety Compliance
Represent engineering in HAZOPs and design reviews.
Maintain compliance with EPA, FDA, electrical, and internal standards.
Actively reinforce a culture of health, safety, and operational discipline.
Develop Control Philosophy & Automation Integration
Create control narratives and philosophies.
Collaborate with software integrators during HMI and automation development.
Ensure controls align with system intent and plant usability.
This position sits within a broader engineering structure that includes plant engineering, process engineering, and project execution teams across multiple U.S. facilities. As complexity and scope increase, so does opportunity from plant-based engineering leadership to enterprise-level technical roles.
This is a career for engineers who want to build, not just maintain.
Semiconductors and specialty gasses power the modern world. Behind every advanced chip is a network of purification systems, distillation columns, and process controls operating at extreme standards of precision.
This engineer ensures those systems are safe, compliant, efficient, and future-ready.
If you are driven by technical ownership, disciplined problem solving, and the responsibility that comes with high-consequence systems, this role aligns with your mission.
