Job Description & Position Responsibilities:
Penta Research is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer working with a commercial satellite company. The candidate leading a team in a dynamic challenging environment supporting the Space Development Agency (SDA). The candidate must have skills in the following areas including mentoring, interpersonal relationships, schedule management, and task prioritization. The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to work effectively in a rapid paced team environment. The candidate should have the typical traits for a good leader.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in engineering or computer science
Minimum of 10 years of embedded software development experience
Experience with AWS services
Experience with Terraform
Experience with Kubernetes
Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) networks
Experience with the Linux Operating System
Experience with DevSecOps with a preferred expertise on "Sec"
Knowledge of software development tools such as Gitlab CI/CD
Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review performance and identify root cause and recommended solutions
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Satellite and/or Space Vehicles (SV) payload deployments and transport into Low-Earth Orbit (LEO)
Familiarity with the Space Development Agency
AWS Certification
Experience with Python
Experience developing Application Programming Interfaces. Familiarity with High Performance Computing (HPC) environments, Linux job management, and embedded software programming Good verbal and written communication skills, must be able to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment
