Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a leading workplace interiors team in New York City. This is an excellent opportunity for a client focused project management professional who enjoys leading complex projects, managing project finances, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and overseeing project delivery from inception through completion.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Support responses to RFPs and participate in new business presentations
- Calculate and track project hours, fees, and resource allocations
- Prepare and manage contractual agreements
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, landlords, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Assist with code reviews, building analysis, and lease reviews
- Prepare consultant RFPs and manage consultant coordination
- Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules
- Oversee project production, staffing forecasts, and team coordination
- Conduct final reviews of construction documentation
- Review consultant documentation and ensure project coordination
- Manage project finances, including budgets, contracts, change orders, invoicing, fee tracking, and collections
- Attend and lead project meetings as required
- Coordinate bidding processes, bid reviews, interviews, and contractor communications
- Manage responses to client RFPs and project-related requests
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams throughout all project phases
- Oversee project close out and final sign off activities
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of continuous project management experience within corporate, commercial, or workplace interiors
- Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong presentation and client relationship management skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong understanding of NYC and IBC Building Codes, compliance requirements, filing strategies, and base building infrastructure
- Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and financial performance
- Ability to lead multiple projects and teams in a fast paced environment
